Sky Movies still looks better on TV mounted using TV brackets

It has recently been revealed that you will soon be able to access Sky Movies from an Apple iPad or iPhone device using the satellite company’s on-demand service Sky Go.

When you are on the go, having access to the broadcaster’s movie channels sounds like a good idea, especially if you have a long train journey ahead of you, or need to while away a few hours.

However, you need to be a Sky customer to have the privilege of accessing content in this way. All 11 of the channels on Sky Movies, including Sky Movies Premiere, Sky Movies Showcase and Sky Movies Modern Greats, can now be viewed using an iPad, iPod Touch or iPhone.

For those that own one or more of these devices this may have whet your appetite for new releases such as Limitless, Gulliver’s Travels and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, which are due out during the next few weeks.

Older films, many of which are exclusive to Sky Movies, can also be viewed using the on-demand service.

All you need to be able to see Sky Movies channels or the Sky Sports content on your mobile gadget is to have a subscription with the channel, plus a working Wi-Fi connection. It has been announced that it will soon be available on 3G too.

Despite this being good news for Sky customers, this will certainly not replace the demand for watching television on a full size screen mounted on TV brackets. This experience is unrivalled in terms of the atmosphere that can be created using a top quality home cinema system.
