How TV brackets can help you child-proof your home

TV brackets are primarily used as part of home entertainment systems to improve the viewing experience, or as a way of making TV screens containing information more accessible in public places (i.e. rail stations). However, they could also offer another benefit for homeowners.

Although you may not think of it at first, TV brackets can be used to child-proof your home. With the TV bracket mounted up on the wall, far out of reach of curious little fingers, there is no danger of your child hurting his or herself on it.

Another thing to think about is that TVs can be very expensive, and playing children or rambunctious pets can easily damage the screen or knock the TV over if it is simply placed on a stand, table or in a cabinet. If the TV is mounted on the wall, this will effectively keep it out of harm’s way.

To ensure that your TV bracket helps to protect both your children and your investment, you must double-check that it is installed properly. If you aren’t confident about installing it yourself or you don’t have the right tools, it is always best to consult someone with experience in fitting TV brackets.
