Samsung has recently introduced the new 3D enabled D7000 series LED backlit LCD TV. It is almost bezel free and looks similar to the high end TVs on the market. Similar to the D8000, the D7000 series retains 3D features and a 200Hz frame rate. However, it does not include the ‘pseudo-local-dimming’ feature that is seen on many high end TV screens.
Samsung’s stunning ‘TwinView Touch Control’ is also missing in the D7000 package. The latest remote features a QWERTY keyboard and a 3-inch screen to browse the internet and TV channels.
While the LED backlighting technology is ‘edge’ based, Samsung has employed a video processing algorithm called ‘Micro Dimming Plus’. According to Samsung, the local-dimming LED system is capable of delivering brighter whites and deeper blacks through a localised backlight control.
Other features like Wi-Fi and DLNA connectivity and support for Samsung Apps are also available in the D7000 3D LED TV series. ‘Smart Hub’, Samsung’s new interface, allows users to search content from network PCs, the Internet, mobile devices and DLNA certified media storage devices, right from their TV.
If you are looking to buy a new flat panel TV, it is also important to get the right TV bracket. This will not only safeguard your TV set from possible dangers, but also offer a better viewing experience.
